Bridging the Digital Divide in South-Eastern Europe (SEE)

The project Bridging the Digital Divide in South-Eastern Europe (SEE), supported by ASO*, aims to exchange research results and set up a network of research institutions in the SEE countries with common interests in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) development and their socio-economic impact.

The project objectives are defined:

• to establish a common picture of the state-of-the-art in SEE of the adoption of ICT and the research in the area;
• to identify the main barriers and the challenges for the development of the Information Society (IS) and the knowledge economy in the SEE region;
• to identify the research needs in the SEE region related to building a cohesive IS;
• to launch a network for future collaboration on ICT projects between EU members and Western Balkans;
