What is PROMOTOR+?

"PROMOTOR+" Project: "Joint affirmation and transfer of supportive regional measures for establishment and growth of start-up enterprises in five regions of newly associated countries" is a European initiative, including companies and organizations, divided conventionally into two groups:

    The "donating group" consists of participants from the member-countries, ready to share their experience and help for consulting. These countries are Spain, Germany, Austria and Greece;
    The "receiving group" consists of teams from Central and Eastern Europe, namely: Bulgaria, Latvia, Poland and Slovenia.

Partners from both groups form tandems. The "PROMOTOR+" project's coordinator on Bulgarian side is Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", and the donating group is represented by the Greek company PARAGON.

The project's essence is in transferring the successful Spanish practices, directed to influence positively the economic growth of Castilla de la Mancha, by building a framework of conditions for establishment and development of new technology based start-ups. The so-called "mobile methodology" in the Spanish background, enriched with the experience of the countries from the donating group, shall be adapted to the specificities of the countries from the receiving group due to four modules: entrepreneurs' identification, training, financing and incubation.

Concourse for involving participants in the project is the key point, from where its sheer fulfillment starts.

Main goal of the Concourse is to help the establishment and development of new technology based start-up enterprises.

Tasks of the Concourse are, as follows:

    Identifying the target group (TG) of entrepreneurs, and obtaining scientific research results of applied nature;
    Teaching the TG in preparing a business plan;
    Competition and nomination of the best business plan.

Concourse steady results imply:

    Making contacts with the supportive institutions in the country;
    Contacting all executive partners within the project;
    Integration in specialised European networks of start-up financing and incubation;
    Building a network for Greek-Bulgarian cooperation for start-up support.
