Instead of the more personal and friendly "thank you for......", you can use a more impersonal approach, e.g.:
"With reference to your letter of complaint ....."Use 'with reference to' to reply to the following:
a) I enclose the information .....
b) I wish to complain ....
c) I would like to inquire...
d) This is to confirm ....
e) I would like to apply ......
