The main topics in the programme include:

• Development of the Regional Innovation Strategies (RIS) and embedding in them driving mechanisms for their implementation;
• Planning of sustainability in the development of the regions;
• Promotion of the Public Private Partnership;
• Establishment of incubators, Development of clusters;
• Encouraging the entrepreneurship by good management at a local level – project of Sofia Municipality;
• Information technologies and entrepreneurship;
• The initiatives „i-Bulgaria” and „eGovernment”;
• PAXIS Network – presenting the results of the EU FP5 PROMOTOR PLUS Project and dissemination of the handbook addressed to the local and regional authorities.

Concomittant Events

In two of the concomitant events special attention will be paid to the opportunities for deepening the cooperation between research and business in the establishment of a knowledge based society - Conference with international participation „The Researcher – a factor for the development of the knowledge society", and the problems of eLearning as an important instrument for long life learning - Workshop "Technology Enhanced Learning Enlargement".
