THE EUROPEAN IDEA

The European Day of the Entrepreneur is an initiative which has long traditions in the EU. This event is organised in the frames of the PAXIS Network (The Pilot Action of Excellence on Innovative Start-ups)aimed at dissemination of best models for establishing new technology based companies. The concept of this forum is introduced by EUROCITIES (Network of the European Towns) and the European Commission.

EUROPEAN DAY OF THE ENTREPRENEUR, October 28, 2010

The eight edition of the EUROPEAN DAY OF THE ENTREPRENEUR (EDE) as a traditional collaborative initiative of Sofia Municipality and Sofia University "St.Kliment Ohridski" will be carried out on the 28-29 of October 2010.
The aim of the event is to provide opportunity for a meeting between social and research scientific areas and the entrepreneurs from the city of Sofia and to encourage scientific teams occupied in the public area to implement European innovation experience for managing social services.
This year the European day of the Entrepreneur will be held under the motto "INNOVATIONS– MEETING OF SCIENCE AND BUSINESS IN THE CITY OF SOFIA", which corresponds to the European Commission policy for competitiveness of the European cities and regions through innovation and technology transfer. This year the event will be part of the CITY Network initiative 2010 and is one of the leading events during the week of "Open doors" organized by the Sofia Municipality.

PROGRAMME

Students' Council of Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Junior Achievements Bulgaria, Project "Technostart", National network for business and development, technology transfer centres of scientific institutes, Bulgarian Business Angels Network (BBAN), CEED Bulgaria, Bulgarian academy of science, World bank and many other organizations will participate in the European Day of the Entrepreneur 2010.
