| The project European Enhancement of Early Years Management Skills is aimed at the Early Years Childcare/Nursery Nurse vocational group. It is specifically intended to enhance employability of people employed in this sector by providing access to a high level qualification in line with the emerging industry requirements. This is to be achieved by developing distance learning materials available via the World Wide Web and other forms of delivery media including CD ROM, specific to the employment area which is also aligned to a degree pathway, and will be available within Europe. |
| Project Aims |
- Review and report on current management training and development in childcare management within Europe and focus on training methods including Open/Distance Learning (ODL)
- Select suitable modules for a pilot project to be delivered through innovative ODL applications
- Design and plan the operation of the pilot project
- Monitor and evaluate pilot during and after delivery to produce an evaluation and feasibility report
- Enhance employability for childcare workersOrganise and run conferences
- Provide a higher qualification route for child carers to meet the sector demand
