The registration for participation in the concourse considers being valid only if all the required documents defined below for each group of applicants are attached to the Registration Card completed!

2. First stage of selection 18.11.2003 - 20.11.2003
3. Announcing the results from the first stage of the concourse 20.11.2003
4. Development of business plans (consultation) 01.12.2003 - 12.12.2003
5. Submission of the developed business plans 12.01.2004
6. Second stage of selection 13.01.2004 - 15.01.2004
7. Approval of the results from the second stage of the concourse 20.01.2004
8. Realization of the Concourse Results 01.02.2004 - 30.09.2004

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE CONCOURSE:

    Start-ups, based on new technologies, registered after 01.10.2002ã. or in a process of registration;
    Specialised research units (SRU) at the Universities and Research Institutions, who possess Property Rights on research results;
    Individual participants, who have a prototype developed.

PROCEDURES AND DOCUMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONCOURSE

The following forms should be filled-in:

FIRST STAGE OF SELECTION. CRITERIA.

Performed on the basis of the data in the Registration Card by the Concourse Evaluation Commission considering the following evaluation criteria:

    Innovation potential of the basic product/technology of the candidate:
    The evaluation is based on the data of the Registration card in particular items: 1.8; 2.2; 2.3; 2.4; 2.8; 2.9. Additionally: 2.7 (with a contribution of 1 point in the appraisal).
    Business capacity of the applicant:
    The evaluation is based on the data of the Registration card in particular items: 1.3; 1.5; 1.6; 1.7; 2.6; 2.8; 2.10; 3.1; 3.2.
    Expected impact on the development of the region:
    The evaluation is based on the data of the Registration card in particular items: 1.2; 1.6; 1.7; 1.8; 2.4; 2.7; 2.9; 2.11; 2.12; 2.14; 3.2.
    Forecast profitability and effectiveness of the investments:
    The evaluation is based on the data of the Registration card in particular items: 2.10; 2.12; 2.13; 2.14; 3.2.

The applicants selected after the First Stage will receive consulting support on the development of business plans with which they will participate at the Second Stage of the Concourse.

SECOND STAGE OF SELECTION

The second stage of selection includes an evaluation of the business plans developed and their public presentation and defence.

WHAT WILL THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE CONCOURSE RECEIVE?
    Public presentation and advertisement of the company, research team, individual entrepreneur;
    Evaluation of the developed product/research result, including consultation on the IPR;
    Current information on financing and incubation of start-ups by European Institutions;
    Inclusion in data-bases and possibilities for establishment of working contacts with partners from the countries-participants in the project;
    Support in integration into the specialised networks for offers dissemination/receiving;
    Consulting support on the development of business plan and work with Internet specialised networks;
    Subscription to Gate2Growth portal for those who are selected after the Second Stage of the Concourse.
